Nokia 5500 Mobile Phone

On the face of it, Nokia 5500 appears to be an out of line mobile handset. It is not as if this effect is a hoax. Nokia 5500 Mobile Phone is indeed a mobile phone with some innovative applications, but what makes it all the more coveted is the fact that it has managed to maintain an amazing set of features underneath the air of novelty. This is arguably the lightest Symbian Smart phone from the house of Nokia at 103 g despite the stainless steel chassis and dust resistant rubber grips.

Let us get straight to the 'X' factor of Nokia 5500 which undeniably is its three different operating modes, viz. phone, music and sport. All these modes are accessible through the press of a single key and this makes the experience even more enjoyable. The most interesting mode for most of us out there would be the sport mode which offers pedometer, exercise monitor and calorie counter. The screen display is rather unusual at 208 x 208 pixels, 31 x 31 mm, though it renders a pleasant effect.

Memory expansion facility and presence of media player supporting various formats opens up the gates for music lovers in its own inimitable style. Data transfer/connectivity department is devoid of the services of WLAN and 3G technology, however the availability of other options in Bluetooth, GPRS, EDGE, USB and infrared makes Nokia 5500 a very capable handset.
Talk time of Nokia 5500 is not quite in the same league as the other features suggest, however with so many utility features and add-ons, one never expected more than that. Nokia 5500 is a good step ahead which may inspire other manufactures to extend their foray up to other horizons of mobile telephony which is achieved only through exploration and application.
